Home shifting is more than just transporting boxes from one address to another. Every home has its own mix of items β old wooden furniture that cannot be disassembled, delicate glassware from the kitchen, children's school books, heavy appliances, a television on the wall, or a mattress that barely fits through the door. Our job is to handle all of it with proper planning before touching anything.
We begin with a proper discussion. Our team asks about the size of your home, the number of rooms, which items need packing and which are going without boxes, floor and lift access at both pickup and delivery points, any items that require special care, and your preferred moving date. Only after this conversation do we plan the manpower, material and vehicle.
Most damage during a home move happens not during transport but during loading and unloading when items are not packed well enough. We take packing seriously for this reason. Kitchen items like glasses, plates and ceramic pots are wrapped individually. Electronic items like televisions and monitors get foam padding and bubble sheet protection. Furniture is wrapped with heavy-duty stretch film or moving blankets to prevent scratches. Books and clothes go in double-layer corrugated cartons that are sealed properly.
The packing material we use depends entirely on what your home contains. We do not apply a fixed material list to every job. Some homes need only light packing for a quick local shift. Others β especially intercity moves over 400β500 km β need every item packed as if it will travel over bumpy roads, because it will.
π‘ Tip: Keep your jewellery, important documents, medicines and laptop with you during the move. These should not go in the packing boxes β not because we can't handle them, but because they are better off in your direct custody.

A lot of home shift companies confirm a booking and then send whoever is available on the day. We assign a team based on the goods volume and the specific requirements of your home. If your building has a narrow staircase, we send fewer workers who are more careful. If you have oversized furniture, we discuss disassembly before moving day. These small decisions make the actual shift much smoother.
